Question for 68-72 flag emblems

I bought a new flag off e-bay thinking it was the gas cap cross flag emblem, It has not arrived yet but found out it is the nose emblem. Are these two completely different and not interchangeable ? maybe be putting this back on e-bay I have a feeling

According to the parts books the front and rear are different. What the differences are I don't know...size, location of mounting pins, etc.

Looks like you'll either be reselling it or mounting on your car if nothing else.

Yes they are different, the gas door is completly flat as is the door, the nose will be slightly curved to follow the body lines. I'm not sure about the mounting holes.

The front emblem has studs at 3 1/4" on center, and the studs are for speed nuts. The gas lid emblem has studs at 2 1/4" on center, and are for acorn nuts.
