Default water pump info

I found a water pump in my storage shed and I need to identify it.
Is there a web site to go to check the numbers. The numbers that I can make out are 3991399 and H311. It appears to be a small block water pump, it doesn't have the big block by pass hose on top and it does not have a plug there. I just want to check to see if it is worth keeping and rebuilding. I hope it is from a C3

water pumps aren't worth rebuilding, unless your trying to keep it original

you can pick up a water pump at advance auto for like $30

Appears to be a '71 and build before May '72 SB Corvette water pump (according to a Google search). There is one rebuilt for sale on Ebay right now with a $140 BIN. H311 would be July 31, 1971 which fits.

Somewhere, there's someone, who's looking for that part # and casting date. Now the question is "where is he"?
