Default window molding?

I have a 70 vette. I was just looking at it tonight and it looks like the molding is pulled up. It may have gotten caught on my cover and I did not notice it. The molding I am talking about is attached to the front quarter panel at the windshield. My question is how is it attached? Is it adjustable or is it part of the quarter? Is is adjustable without pulling anything?

There is a small clip that holds the molding to the fender

If you are talking about the part in my pic, there are 2 'U' shaped clips that slide onto the fender and hold the trim piece in place. You can slide the trim piece (a little) in either direction for proper clearances. Perhaps yours is bent a little on the back side flange ... if so, you can easily slide the trim piece off, straighten it out, and reinstall.

And possibly a trim screw which you should be able to see with the hood up.

Thanks, Easy Mike, for adding the comment about the trim screw. The slotted hole for the screw can be seen on the right side of the part in my pic.

This part is a PITA to deal with because that clip is difficult to get to. I know someone who ended cracking their windshield trying to install these, so go slow and be careful.

I believe removing the wiper door makes access easier for this piece, and if you are cracking windshields putting this piece on the fender, YOU DEFINITELY are doing something wrong......................

Hi 70D,
Lot's of good advice!! No one has mentioned yet that the trim comes off the clips by sliding it forward, ... away from the windshield. You have to be VERY careful to not scratch the paint on the fender.
Regards,
Alan
