Default 1981 vette

Hello,

I'm new to this venue but I understand that you can help me with a car I recently volunteered to fix.

Problem; 1981 vette. It has sat in an unheated garage for over 5 years. I have replaced the carb, purged the fuel with new, replaced the air pump, plugs and wires, oil and filter, o2 sensor. This is a smog motor with CCC controls.
It runs like crap!! I always thought that when the key is in the on position, engine off the mixture control solenoid should be "clicking" all the time. It doesn't. There is not engine light. No codes.

Could the ECM be bad? Help!!

ECM? Hmmm... It could be. Check for a vacuum leak first though. Another item to check would be the EGR valve.

Since you changed the plug wires I would recommend you go back and make certain you have them in the correct order.Because they are running through the mounts it is easy to get them wrong.
When you say "no codes" do you mean not even a code 12 ?
