Here's the situation that I am in.....I....hold on...Let me start by saying that I know NODDA!!!!NODDA!!!....about Lt1s,so please bare w/me here.
OK.....I sold a 69 convertible to a guy,and I am doing a custom build on this car for him.I bought a 93 LT1,low miles,from a rolled over cop car,and a 700R4 that I had rebuilt.I got a ECM,but it is the 94-96 #8051.The wiring harness that came w/the car is a brand new Painless,but for the 92/93 Corvette #278 ECM,so the plugs to the ECM are different.
I contacted a company that said that they had the #278 ECM there,and could burn the chip to remove the VATS,and I TOLD THEM THAT I HAD THE #8051 ECM for exchange,so I sent mine in as a core,then a guy calls me,and wants a stupid amount of difference because I didn't have the #278 ECM as a core.We have a following out,and I have my original ECM back.Minus the shipping both ways.
I call another company,and the guy tells me I may have a late 93 for the 94 run,and they are different.He has me check the throttle body plugs,and the trans,cause the 700 wasn't offered in 94,I guess.It is a 700R4,but the engine is for a 94.He can sale me wiring harness,and another wiring harness for the 700R$ to be able to lock it up.More money,and I am going to be building this car for free when done.I am WAY into this build money wise,and I don't have the funds to keep dumping into this car,and the customer is getting impatient.
I call Painless,and he says I have to get the above,and the seperate wiring harness to lock up the 700R4,or find a #278 ECM.I haven't been able to find the #278,and.....if I do.....is my wiring harness going to plug into the throttle body?By what the one guy said....the plug ins are different,so even w/the 92/93 ECM.....am I going to be able to plug in the wiring harness?
What are my options here?I need this to be as cheap as possible.
Is there the possibility of finding a company that can splice the correct ends onto my wiring harness to fit the #8051 ECM?And the throttle body?
I need some suggestions here,and HELP...please.

hmm...so your putting a 93LT1 into a 69 vert? Sounds like all your problems are related to the LT1, I would ask around the C4 section. Good luck with, and post up pics when its done. Sounds cool
