Can anyone tell me if the area below the windshield where the wiper arm are located is called the cowl? I have cleaned out the debris from this area and I have water that will drip(not much accumulation) in the floorboard. What is the material/coating that is in this area and are there any pointers as to find where the leak is coming from? Thanks for all your help.

I've had fair luck using a soapy water spray. Close everything up with the heater fan on high, spray soapy water where you suspect the leak- see if you can find bubbles.
