Default Getting Feiro seats!!!!

Buddy of mine is selling me a set of Feiro seats including tracks for $50!!!! Is the seat track mod fairly easy?

Once I get the covers from Mrmikes I am probably going to sell my OEM's. What should I ask for them? They have new foam and covers from Wilcox and the frames were blasted and painted with rustoleum.

I'll never understand this. I owned an 84 fiero and an 86 gt. I remember the seats were as comfortable as stadium bleachers.

I think I'd hold on to the oem's.

Funny you say that...I was wondering if there is something special about Fiero seats. Personally I find the seats in my 79 to be some of the most comfy I've ever sat in. In fact, I used some spare cushions to create the world's comfiest beach/camping chair (highly recommended!):

This is the throne...my son and his scouting friends consider it the seat of honor when we take it camping.

As for value, surely they would be worth a few hundred, but unless cash is an issue you may be better off keeping them so you can swap out your Fiero seats if needed for something else..

I found the opposite to be true.....the backs of the OEM's were very uncomfortable compared to the Fiero seats I have now!

You late 70 early 80's guys have evidently never sat in a late 60's early 70's seat.... Might as well sit on a bicycle seat.

Blackrat, do you have access to a mig welder? If you do then the mod for the seat track is pretty easy. As for the Fiero seats being uncomfortable, not in my book. I love them and haven’t sat in anything that would fit in a vette that I like better.

Yeah a buddy of mine has one and said he wiould help with the mod. I am going to the NASCAR race saturday in Charlotte and am going to pick up the seats while there. Figure I will test fit and modify them before ordering and putting on the new covers.
