Default Mid America Swap-Less Fest

Y'know, last year when I wasted a 2 hour drive to Mid America for their "SwapFest" I told my wife to remind me not to do that again. Naturally, this year she was out of town so I did it again.

Even worse than last year. About 10 vendors, 9 selling VW used stuff and toys. No new blems like last year even, just junk in "clearance" area.

At least I put the top down and the radio up on the way home!

Did they at least have "free shipping" if you picked it up?

I believe they were selling for 10% off and shipping for free, but their prices are rarely competitive, so...

Wonder why they can't get any swappers there?

Steve...I was going to go to run the 68 on the auto x course, but thought it was at the end of the month until Friday evening,so didn't make it.The thing has gone down hill since I have been going, and it is only a VW swap meet.If....IF....by chance there was anything good...the vendors set up at 7am before any of us gets there, and Kenny would by whatever was a good deal,or worth something.
I am a dealer for them, and w/my dealer discount....anyone on this forum can go get the same part...made from the same place for cheaper than I can get their stuff w/my discount,so I don't even try to sale anything of theirs!
Everytime I go over there....I leave "empty",and tell my wife to remind me to never go back.It is a waste of time, gas, and energy.Just my humble .02!

I rarely buy anything from MA. They always charge top dollar for their parts and then turn around a produce those ridiculous modified vettes. I would rather see them save the money they spend on those atrocities and charge a bit less for their parts.

I just bought most of my interior from MA while they had the 10% off sale. The pricing seemed pretty good and I bought the stuff that they are making themselves. I'm a little disappointed in the quality of the door panels and carpet but I don't have any other vendors interior products to compare them against. I will say that shipping was extremely slow.

I did get my SteelShields from them too while at 10% off. The first set arrived damaged. It took them a week to even get Fedex to come pickup the damaged set and then another couple of days to get the new ones out to me. I've had better luck with Ecklers believe it or not. The MA stuff came out a little cheaper than Ecklers though and I didn't have to pay sales tax.
