I like it personally. I especially like the front grill in the rendering. Have you figured out how and where to get it fabbed? If so I'd love to know and get one like it. Maybe some cost sharing.
I like the lowered look. But you may find out that the car will contact speed bumps and driveway approaches on a regular basis. My 92 is dropped about 1" from stock in front and at least that in the rear. I've already replaced the center front air dam section because of wear. Usually its the exhaust that hits on the peaks of driveway approaches. And my exhaust is tucked up pretty good.
Im in the process of restoring my 72 and will lower it some, I'll keep the top of the tires even with the fender lip.
Ahhh. I went back and read the full thread, shoulda known. Bags. Anyway, your project is awesome looking. Always been a custom car guy. I appreciate the full on restos but lean toward custom cars.
On a side note, I grew up in Riverview.

oh yea that grille has been a thorn in my side... i have a friend working with it, but have had no luck with somone doing it for a reasonable price... but i will get that grille done, i also have a close up rendering done to show more detail
I know this is a bit of "Thread Necro" But i'm curious how this is going. I just got a 73' and i'm pretty interested in this coming from lowered trucks (My previous was a 91 C1500 Bagged and Body Dropped).

it's gettin there slowly but surely...
got it running last week, just working on gettin the brakes done and getting it to roll under its own power... then it's off to the fiberglass shop for some custom interior work, then back to the paint shop to fix some boo boos lol... then add the trim and work out some bugs and we're done
Not what I would personally want but can tell that you put a lot of work into it and it doesn't look over the top. Enjoy it and don't let anyone's opinions on the car bother you. I have seen people here even put other people's car down because of the color of their vette which is a factory color. Enjoy and good work.

Not what I would do, but it is not my 'vette. I do, however, really like how well you have done everything so far and appreciate how much work and thought went into it. Nice car and thanks for sharing all of the info.
ok so yea i tot ally fail at making updates, but hey i'm lucky if i get any computer time around here hahaha
so here you go guys... the car is finally done (for the most part anyway...) just workin out some bugs and minor issues but all and all she's ready...
she made her debut at the 60th Detroit Autorama... took 1st place in our class and couldn't be happier with the way she turned out.. now i believe my dad has also made an account on this site and may have already posted pics somwhere... but i couldn't find the thread so i thought i'd just share in my thread as well
here are some pics just before putting her on the trailer and taking her to the show
thanks guys... yea the guy who helped do all my fiberglass work on the interior really pulled it together and made an almost perfect match to the rendering
