Mine was put up for winter two weeks ago, when one of the rear calipers decided to give out

Hmmm, would now be a good time to rub in the fact that I'm counting on one more semi warm weekend to paint the 'Vette before I have to turn on the heater in the booth. It should be 70 degrees a few more days here. I think if it holds out, I'm gonna shoot it this weekend. After it's painted, I'm gonna drive the heck out of it. I may not be able to drive until about 10:00 am on those mornings when we get a thin layer of frost, but I think I'll survive.

I feel for you guys up there. It may be hot here in the summer, but I'm through with all that snow.

What a nice looking 74. Here in New Mexico we drive year around. We do get occasional snow but is usually gone by noon and no salt. I lived two years in the mid-west and two years in South Dakota so I know what it is to face deep snow. I am here to stay.

I know the feeling, my 81 goes into storage in 2 weeks, so I'm getting all the time with it on the road I can. I think I'll keep the 2002 at the house this winter, never know, may be able to drive it some!

Oh well, winter happens every year, what you going to do...............

Same with us new Englanders, the pool season (even with a heater) is about 12 weeks: MAX.

Paul - Very nice 74!

Love the shoulder belts!

What are those on the floor - liners? They tidy things up a bit, I like 'em!

The shoulder belts came from Andover. They were an option for convertibles in 1974. Of 5,474 produced, only 618 had them. I installed them last June for safety reasons.

Do a search on Fox Weather Boots. They are hard plastic and protect the rugs. Just pull them out when dirty and hit with a garden hose.

You have been treated well. I never cared for cars with red interior, in fact at the beginning of this year I would have said I dislike them. Your car has caused me to shift on this issue. I think what you have there looks really sharp. I think that is a combination of nice parts and a meticulous installation.

Oh, and as far as my car: two Sundays ago, I couldn't get it started (it has been having a starter problem since I bought it in August). What should have been a straight-forward problem has grown into a full-blown project and I still don't have the car back together. Time will tell over the next two weeks or so, but I am starting to get the feeling mine has already been in winter storage for almost two weeks
