Default Ordered rims - Finally....

Called the order in to Tomz Wheels today....

New style Boss rim. Model 338.

18x8 front and 18x9.5 rear.

After I get the rims in, and figure out just what tire size I want to go with, I'll mount them and take some pics....

And a great price from Toms too...!

Very nice modern wheel (large diameter and flat lip) with an "old school" look. I'm looking foward to seeing the pictures. If you don't mind what backspace did you go with?

The BS on the 9.5's is 5.03" and on the 8's it's 4.50" as best I can recall.

Shouldn't be any issues at all, although I may need to relocate the E-brake cable mount. But I had planned on this anyway.

Not delivered yet....

Something is due to be delivered tomorrow (17th). Hopefully it's all four rims.

After they get here I've got to do some measuring and get the tire sizing figured out.

Hopefully I'll have this sorted out in a very few days....

If memory serves me correct.. P255/45/18 for the front and P285/40/18 for the rear sound about right..

KT, do you have these mounted on the car yet? Was hopping
to see what they looked like, because I'm looking to order mine
real soon.
Thanks in advance.

Riggs.

I would love to see how these wheels turned out on your car. How did the fit work out for you?

It's been "that time of the year" for my business so I haven't done anything more than gather all the toys so I can figure out what tires to buy for all....

Moving the front tires from the Vette, plus two new ones, to the trailer. Moving the current Vette rims to the dune buggy, so the dune buggy tires need to be put on those rims instead of the buggy rims. Rear Vette tires are going to the Mustang. And then buying a new set of tires to go onto the new Vette rims!

Tire store will love me....

BUT.....Doing a custom installation* on Monday. Going to CES in Vegas on Wednesday, so one more week will be going by....

And when I get back from Vegas, there's two very large jobs that I'm supposed to be starting so I'm not sure just how soon I'll get this tire thing worked out...

*Electronic systems integration. I sell, design, install & program control systems for audio/video, security, HVAC, CCTV and lighting. Or as my friends would tell you, I set the clock on a VCR....

Thanks KT,
Are the wheels as nice as you thought they would be, or do you wish
you had gone with another choice.
Thanks.

I have been looking at those for my 73.

Can't wait to see the pics.

I am a geek HVAC and building automation systems controls guru from Trane. I am in sales now, but still have to do a lot of project management. Learned on pneumatic systems back in the Robertshaw days. I set a lot of clocks, myself.

I have ordered these aswell for my -69 in Sweden.
I went with the chrome ones.
I am supposed to get them in three weeks or so.
I went with the Mand hand tires 275/45-18 in the rear. Street radials.
And Nitto 255/45-18 up front.

Hope they will fit and look nice!

I am waiting for pictures!!!
