Washed the '07 yesterday so snapped a few shots while I had both out of the garage.

The first pic of the two back ends...really makes the 07 look like it has a little more junk in the trunk...

Love them both

Thanks for the pics

I just love that first picture! What a difference!! Those stylists really knew how to make them back in the 'ole days. You just can't beat the styling of the '68 thru '72's, just awesome!!!!!

That picture just shows just how out of touch stylists have gotten over the years. The pinnacle of perfection with the boring, lousy styling of modern technology. Just a great comparison!

Aw c'mon now - that new one looks just fine to me. I agree that sylists have lost their artform to a large degree in recent decades but I'll admit this one is the first vette since '82 that looks like a well thought out design and have to say it looks damn nice!!! Especially in Silver. I'm also skeptical of modern auto design but when it comes to the C-6 have to let my guard down. I like the blue & silver combo you got there. Very NICE pair!!

I like both cars.
I think it's interesting to see how the stylists for the NEW car dealt with putting a body on ALL the stuff they needed to cover up. The stylists for the OLD car had much less stuff to cover up and could let their hearts enter into the design.
Regards,
Alan

PS: I saw a new Viper in our small town on Saturday... at first I thought it was a Corvette with a body kit on it.

Looks great. I can't wait until I get my garage "dolled up" with my Corvette stuff. I am wiating on some red tiles for the floor. Then all I need is to get teh '73 back from the paint shop, and a paint job on the '82.

Here is a pic of the 2000 and the 1982 with my camera phone. The pic is kinda crappy.

I love both of the styles. I like how the new vettes have retained some of the lines of the C3. Notice the front fender bulges, rear taillights, side vents. 40 years later, and the C3 is still looking great!!!!

Even in the C3 Forum I don't think many will agree with that statement.

Modern cars all look the designers lost interest when they got to the rear end. I think the chrome bumper C3's are one of the best looking cars ever made. They are sort of like a Frank Lloyd Wright house though. Well designed but they leak, rattle and cost a fortune to maintain.

Great analogy. I like the Craftsman era Wright houses, Green & Green, and so on. Both certainly have timeless design, don't they.
