What kind of wheels, heres a better shot willcox.

and the numbers on the back, any ideas? Some kind of date? if the wheels are american whats up with japan on the back.

These numbers were on the back as well.

Ok, the center spinner emblem. Anyone know where I can get newer ones to freshen up the look. Any info or history on the emblem?

This is a spare tire of mine and want to know if it could still be the original or is this a remake?

Got some 69 side exhaust and want to know if in your alls humble opinions what kind of shape there in and are they worth anything?

Thanks for any information guys.
I'll have more tomorrow.

The wheels kind of look like American 200S. Not sure with the Japan stamping, but they kind of look like it. The rally wheel with the white stripe tire does look orginal. The side pipes look good too. What do the pipes themselves look like under the covers?

This video is from an old thread, and somewhat related ... to help determine the date that your tire was manufactured ... look at the latter part of the video ... the first part is an advertisement.

Hope this helps.

Nope, they aint 200S' they look more like "torque thrust D's then anything else, click on the link for a picture of 200S' then scroll down to look at the picture of an ansen wheel.

They look like AR "D"s but there are so many clones around. In any case here is a little bit of history.

The spinners with stick-on emblems is a common EBay item. The crossed flags versions are plentiful but those with the Corvette scropt are much more difficult to find.

This is my 1967 with those spinners and AR Torq Thrust II wheels.

Hi G70,
The spare is a very old tire (original equipment ?) because it's NYLON CORD construction. I think that puts it before 1973. I'll do a little more looking.
Someone, maybe you, would love to have that wheel and tire in their spare tire tub!!!!!
Regards,
Alan

PS: Am I seeing a little bead of weld material on the outer rim near the word SPORTS? That bead was often on original rims and indicated the high point of the rim.

Thank you gentlemen for all your information. This was a very good day cause I tracked down and talked to the original owner of my coupe.
The really neat thing about the PO is that he has been in the corvette business out in california sence he returned from nam in 68. He thought the wheels were americans but not sure what type. He had bought them and had the sidepipes put on the car in 73 or 74 he thought. He was a really nice guy and I felt really lucky to be able to have talked to him sence a lot of people dont have any history on there cars. I've also talked to the second owner a few months back and he was glad I had look him up as well.
So I'll keep all the extra toys with these cars and hope the old tire doesnt rot away. Good eye alan 71. Also got the numbers now 70 yellowbird.
Thanks again for the help guys, and I'll look at ebay for those center cap emblems paul.
I'm still pumped I found the OO.

I have one more item and it's the number on the spare tire rim. Not shown in this picture is another number 1 or a 11 on the right side of the valve stem. Even though I have the ncrs book which decribes the numbers I'm confused (not hard to do). Can I get a date on the wheel?
Looks like K-1-9 11 valve stem 1 or 11 then AZ. I put black shoe polish on the numbers so we could see them.
Thanks again.

Thank you for the info. I new the k stood for kelsey-Hays and the AZ was for the corvette wheel but was not sure how to read 9 and the 11.
That falls in line with the year being a 69. The coupe is a early 70.
Thanks again.
