Help with finish.
Well after close to 4 years 
, I am ready to drop my engine back in! Can someone help me with the following question?
From my research I have determined that transmission dipstick tube should be plated a gray phosphate and the oil dipstick tube should be a natural finish. (alternative opinions welcome).
Can someone tell me how I can get the oil dip stick & tube as well as the tranny dipstick refinished? Is this a "do-it-yourself" job or is there someone out there that does this type of restoration? If it is a "do-it-yourself" job, can you recommend the exact paint/finish and where I can get it?
Appreciate the guidance, as I have been having a heck of time finding out this info.

If you want to do the 'phosphate' yourself Google 'Palmetto Enterprises', they sell a 'do-it yourself' kit. If you want to have it done try www.DETAILPLATING.COM. They do ALL kinds of plating.
