Default LT-1 Intake bolt question

Anyone with an original LT-1 or a 1 owner car

I am looking for information on the bolts that hold the intake manifold on.

I need to find some for my 71 car.

Also on the AIR pump bracket. What is the intake bolt like there?

Is it just a longer bolt or a bolt / stund combination?

Also interested in the water pump bolt for the same bracket.

Thanks
David

Hi David,
I wish I had a nice LT-1 in the basement to look at but I don't. So here goes.... based on the AIM.

The long bracket on the left side of the engine uses a stud with lock washer and nut. This is the bracket used to adjust the A.I.R. pump belt tension. This stud goes through the water pump mounting hole..

The right side bracket that actually mounts the A.I.R. pump uses a bolt through the bracket into the right side of the water pump. This bolt is shown but isn't called out in any way. It must be longer than a normal water pump bolt because the A.I.R. bracket is quite thick at that point.

I don't see any mention of a bolt from that bracket to the intake manifold so I can't help on that one.

I looked at my 70-72 Tech Guide and all it says for aluminium manifolds is NO washers under the bolts. At PARAGON the intake manifold bolts
look to be either TR or M marked heads but others certainly may have been used.

I hope this helps. I'm sure someone will post a picture soon!
Regards,
Alan

PS: On the stud is... 2 alternator brackets, lock washer, nut, A.I.R.bracket, lock washer, nut.

I sure hope to meet you some day and buy you and your wife a meal.

That won't come close to re paying for all of the help you have given.
but would be nice for me. I would most likely learn something new then also. So I would still be way ahead.

As for an LT-1 in the basement.

I have what is left of one right now in the basement.

I hope to have a completly functional LT-1 by April.
