More time on the forum. I scan it throughout the day while I'm at work, just to see what's going on, what I can learn from others and sometimes help someone out as well. One of the most valuable things to me is printing out threads with pics. I put the pics in my AIM in the appropriate sections, and keep a 2nd binder as well for reference when one of the many problems I'll surly have at some point, I can look back at what you guys did.
I have two teenage kids so my garage time is limited .
It's running great so I drive it when ever possible weather permitting, and tinker and repair what I can.

I just drive the 78 The 67 is in a 1000 pieces hope to have it done by Easter Corvettes are like boats Spend my days on CF and my nights in the garage.
I'm in the same boat as a bunch of others saying it's too damn cold right now to work on the car unless you are blessed with an insulated shop (mine is costly to keep warm; poor insulation). That's why I find myself cruizin around my favorite forum to see what's happening with all my cyber buddies and their projects.
I know I'm also not alone in the disgust I have in rework. G-a-w-d. I hate rework and the members of the CF have enlightened my path with some really solid data. Saved some big bucks here reading 'how-to' and getting the low-down on doing the job effectively. In this economy, who has $ to throw away?
There's easy, cheap fixes and then there are jobs where you know you have to roll up your sleeves and get dirty. Thanks to you guys, my confidence level is high in tackling the work needed to get my car to where I want to go with it.
It's not intended to satisfy any one person or group; only me.
My initial vote will change once my ride is ready. My visits will be more spaced apart by then!
Of course I spend more time here . . . this is where I learn everything. Cheap investment!!! How about a poll "Who spends more time drinking beer and admiring their car than actually working on it?" That's what inquiring minds want to know.
Its -40 outside and probably -35 in the garage. I've been thinking about replacing my wood garage door with its single pane of glass with an insulated door (with no glass). But they're $1300...
You godda pour a lotta heat into a garage thats -35 .

Most of the time you need light, during the winter put some floods behind you for extra light and to stay warmer. That way you dont have to heat the entire garage.
I spend more time on the forum. The car doesn't need much work. I pick and choose what I want to tackle and then buy the parts for that project. Right now I'm waiting for it to warm up a little so I can install my new chrome exhaust bezels.
This forum is great, I get a lot of enjoyment out of it and learn a lot.
Too cold outside/inside the garage. The forum is way cheaper than parts, but if i am ever finished with the vette i will proabably break something so i can work on it.
We are talking about the last few days aren't we. In that case I spent more time on the Vette than on the forum. I sure hope that is not the case in the long run.
All up probably more time on the forum, but if I wasn't on the forum I know I would have spent at least four times as many hours working on the car trying to work stuff out on my own.
And for you guys that can't do anything in winter and have to take your cars off the road I feel for you. I start complaining when it gets below 60F during the day in winter here.
I'd say it comes in phases, I am between projects right now one vette is finished and one is at the painter. The forum is a great place to get ideas. I just remodeled my garage, after seeing all the nice garages you guys have.
Used to be a gear head, now have turned to geek guy, spend my off hours repairing pc's. Drive the vet all the time snow, rain, any where.
Put the flares and paint on in 77, redid the top of the engine.
Strange thing is that I haven't broken any thing on the car in ocer 30 years. Just regulator maint stuff.
Go to 40 -50 forums a week for stuff.
