'69 Corvette... 3 of the 6 front body pictures, including the thumbnail you see in the search listing... "conveniently" cut off the nose of the car... which happens to have a Micky Mouse '73 rubber bumper front end glued on it!
Plainly shown in other pictures and fully listed in the ad, but those pictures look very intentionally cropped to not show the missing chrome front bumper.
Or the guy is a horrible photographer. Some of the other pics are nothing to write home about either. There is one of the engine and the top of the fender that makes no sense at all. You can see neither clearly.
He must have failed art class
Either way, I see your point. Some of those are cut off just at the right spot.
on the other hand 3 of the first 4 pics bear out what the text says, Its a 73 with a newer front end and he has the parts. What is your point?
i think the point is it is a 69, or maybe a 73, and has a reconstructed title. Not sure what a reconstructed title is. car looks nice and i wouldn't mind owning it if the price were right AND i could inspect it first. Even if is just a driver, if it were cheap enough it could be fun.
AHH...Now I get it. Looks like the angle of pictures taken were meant to hide more than just the bumper. Bad body work maybe.............................

A reconstructed title can be plated again.A salvage title is....well....salvage,which can't be plated even w/ a inspection.
Also, some states will "loose" reconstructed/rebuilt tile if it passes inspection.

Actually its a '69 with a newer front end, and, as I said in the OP, yes he says this plainly in the text. I know that.
My point is, its interesting that the part of the nose that is not '69 is cut off the end of 3 different pictures. My suspicious nature tells me this is not by mistake. Especially when you search on ebay and the thumbnail photo that accompanies the listing (on the far left) is one of the pictures with the front bumper cut off. You actually dont find out the nose is wrong until you look into the ad. Of course it wouldnt fool anyone, but its odd.
And, if your position is that a car with the wrong front bumper JUST HAPPENS to have 3 photos in the ad that are missing the front bumper,
and you think this is totally by random poor photography... well... good luck with that.

wrongo--that is a mickey mouse 75 rubber bumper. 73 didn't have the big **** on the front.
That car has a 75-79 nose on it with 68-69 side fender gills. The 69 fender tops at the windshield are different and won't line up with a 73-79 hood like that car has.
I'd like to know how he expects someone to mount the 69 bumper and "hardwear" he has to a 75-79 nose!
There are 3 pictures that fully show the front bumpers are not correct. Its stated in the ad that the bumper is wrong. I don't see any attempt to fool anyone. To me it just looks like bad photography.

You really think that's not intentional?
Not the kinda guy I'd want to buy from.
I think you said it right - "Your suspicious nature" period. Several of the other pics clearly "SHOW" the front end. I also don't get your point about calling the urathane clip cheesy - at least the urathane does give some forgivenss on front/rear collisions where as the chrome bumberettes and fiberglass does not. I personally think the C3 improved in looks AFTER 1979.
