BB Hood Chrome inserts
I bought a set of hood grilles (chrome inserts) for my BB hood from C.A. (prt # X2246). When I test fitted them there was a 1 1/2 to 2 inch space between the two pieces in the middle. Is this correct? It looks a little funny but the hood is leaning up against the wall right now. Maybe it will look better when it is horizontal????
Does anyone have pictures of this on their BB hood to show me?
Thanx,
shmoky

A BB hood has about 2" center bridge between each side.

Are you trying to fit it to something other than a stock BB hood?

Yah I guess I am trying to add them to something other than a stock hood. Here's a pic of my hood.
Guess I will have to live with the "new" look.

Shmoky,
Your hood is an aftermarket or L-88 hood which did not have edge between the moldings. Is this the molding set you purchased?
http://willcoxcorvette.com/product_i...ducts_id=25887 .
If so, from the looks of your picture you have an L88 hood.

Shmoky,
This belongs to member Dr.G, maybe you can ask him for a more detailed picture.
