Hey I was wondering when you guys are driving your vettes out around town, do you ever get people hating or talking trash about your car?
This happened to me, I was cruising through a different town than mine and happened to stop at a beverage place. When I came back outside I saw these asian teenagers making fun of my car how it had stickers saying "Pace Car". They pretty much shut up when as I was standing listening, I began to approach my car and they realized that I was the owner.
This actually happens somewhat frequently.. maybe its because I don't drive a civic type r? lol

If anyone is saying anything about my cars, I cant hear it because my exhaust is too loud.
Then again if someone did, we could just line them up and we will see who will be laughing in the end.
It is sad that people have to act that way about someones pride and joy. If you got nothing good to say, then keep your mouth shut!!!!!

Honestly, I'm a bit baffled by my generation. I get crap a lot about my 81. All these honda and nissan guys telling me to "Get daddy's car home before he finds out I took it". I love when I get to tell them that he's right behind me in his 69. They never really know what to say to that.

Try driving a C4 around for a while. The Corvette people are worse than the ricers. 
I have to go home and sit in the '71 for 20 minutes just to get some self esteem back afterwards.

I guess I'm lucky. Haven't had to deal with this. If it happened to me, I don't give a $hit what anyone says if it's negative. It does surprise how often this topic comes up here. I think it's mostly ignorance and jealousy that make people trash talk some ones car. Sure we bash "ricers" often enough, but mostly in jest.

It happens everywhere and with every make/model.
We bash Ricers, they bash us....even the C1, C2, C3, C5, and C6 owner bash inter family and gang up on the C4. and I have a C4 too!! it really sucks!
I guess people love their own cars and think that nothing else in the world is better, so they make fun of those that have other tastes.
