the new gas prices over the past summer got me to thinking, has anyone ever swaped the V8 we all love to a V6 or dare i say four cylinder. please post link im kinda intersted
well im not looking for a new motor just wondering if anyone has ever did like a mix between import and vette
Are you wanting to put a Honda engine in?
The motor would have to work harder so the MPG wouldn't be all that different. Cruising around town I rarely see over 2000 rpm.
With a small 4 cyl. the revs are going to be higher and more gas will be used.
I had an '86 Firebird with a 2.8 v6 and 5 speed.
Changed it to a 350 v8 and 3 speed auto, lost 1 MPG.
The v6 had to work harder to get up to speed.
yea i know i could never change, or at least to a smaller motor, and even though i know i will get crap for this you guys got to agree the tuned mustang in the fast and furious tokyo drift is one cool looking car

fastback mustangs are cool, the '65 and '66 2+2 cars with the folddown rear seat are two of my favs - nothing wrong with that......Steve McQueen drove the hell out of that '68 in Bullitt.....but suggesting to put a 6 or 4 in a Corvette is downright.........
if you need something more practical buy a 4 cyl/5 speed toyota and drive the vette on the weekends.
If I were locked in a cave with all of the tools and parts that I needed (ala Iron Man), with a C3 with a blown engine and a wrecked GMC Syclone/Typhoon with an intact engine, I'd go for it and scare the crap out of those terrorist bastards with the wheezing turbo as I got the hell out of there!
There was a hot blonde that used to tool around here in Columbia in a green rubber bumper Vette that had a fuel injected GenII 3800 under the hood. I think her Father paid for the swap before giving it to her to drive around for college. It looked cool, but still very wrong at the same time.

Pure blasphemy! A true corvette lover would never even think about this.
