What kind of steering setup do you have? All of my C3's have always been real touchy at high speeds.

I like the stock pop-ups on a C3. Nothing else looks as good IMHO. Keeps the clean lines when not in use-which is most of the time.

I like the FIA style, but done right the square ones look cool to, i think Panic has the square ones under flat covers.

I like them in the right application, (C3 racer type) but that's just personal taste anyway..

NMSharkracer's white '73 with flares looks bad *** with the rectangular lights.

My car came with them and I added some lexan shields. No clouding or condensation to speak of. They're OK for now but if I ever repaint I'll likely restore to the pop-ups.

My only beef is they suffer from tunnel vision, you don't get a lot of light in the periphery. I tend to only drive during the day/dusk so it's a non-issue, but if I was on a dark road in the country I'd be a little nervous.

I have them. They came with the car but I have come to like them. If you are missing the pop ups and the entire vacum system they are an inexpensive alternative to replacing the pop ups. Take a look at the total cost of bying the pop ups, vacum system, etc. It is really expensive, so unless you are going for a restoation the are a good alternative. The only problem I have is that they hold a lot of water after washing the casr. I am debating drilling some holes in the buckets for drainage. Any one else try this?

If you're repainting black, you could tint the covers black and from more than a couple feet away it would look factory.

Aesthetically, square headlights don't fit with the rounded curves of a C3. It creates a mismatched style for the car. Looks just as wrong on a C3 as a man with a black belt and brown shoes going to an interview. I always think when I see something like that on a nonrace car, that the car was wrecked and the owner couldn't afford to restore it to the stock condition.

Considering that the picture shows you only about 50 yards coming out of a nearly 90 degree right hand turn, I doubt seriously that you are going 150MPH. In fact I doubt you'd be even near triple digits.

You wanted my opinion, "I hate them."

They look too terribly dated. It screams: "Hey 1983, look at me! I'm like Luke Skywalker!"

I say get the FIA round mounts. The dual squares.... um, no. not so much.

I don't think he was coming off of that 90 degree turn. That's a long straight away, and that turn is probably an access road or service road.

ONE look some 11 years ago, was to drill two 1" drain holes in the bottom of each one, way before even painting....

I look at as just the opposite, that someone updated a basically unreliable HEAVY antiquated system designed with mid 60's cheep in mind...... and cleaned up the lines of the car, those silly lids look like a add on just like most operating headlight systems do....even the later vettes...finally corrected in the C6, but the use of plastic lenses is not forgivable.....
