As some of you know, I've been looking into restoring a 82. I was wondering if any used any sort of repair manual or parts manual or anything like that when restoring their car. I doubt I'll be getting the car soon but would like to have a good overall knowledge of the car before I get it.
GM Service manual, and assembly manual are a must! You cant beat the assembly manual on CD from Willcox. It's better than the printed version in quality and you can search it.

Hi VG82,
If you're really thinking about restoring the car you're going to be getting, the $100 spent ,will be well worth it, and one of your SMALLEST expenditures.
Restoring old Corvettes is a pretty costly hobby.

Alan

It will be expensive for me now because I am in college and don't currently have a job. By the time I am in a position to restore the car i will have graduated. I'm just looking for some cheap stuff I can do now to prepare for it.
Maybe your year is different but I got a CD from wilcox for a 71 for 29.00, it dont matter how much it cost realy, I bet it saves you that much or more in time, effort, mistakes ect. in no time at all.
