Bubba strikes again
This afternoon I decided to clean up the spare tire tub on my 69. Just grime and some old black paint, to get it down to bare fiberglass.
Well once I got through some old road grime, the Mark of the Bubba started to come through--bright yellow paint! The spare tire tub, for Gods' sake!
Whole tub was painted.
It came off very easily with steel wool, but geez, it seems like there isn't one corner of my car he hasn't found.
Just wanted to share. I feel better now

Man that has to be frustrating... My restoration on my '75 was completely opposite... absolutely nothing was touched.... even had the original date coded spark plug wires on the car.... kinda cool to find but the car had 100k miles.... ouch! Glad the oil was at least change regularly though. Good luck with your project---I'm on the hunt for another one.

I found half a birdcage from a 1976+ in my red 1968 corvette. Had a conv window frame welded on and still had the metal floorpans (rusted and hidden under a layer fiberglass), didnt know much about vettes when I bought it and first found out when I took the interior apart. If I ever find you Bubba...

My first C3 was a 68 convertible, matching numbers SB 4 speed, and overall, a pretty decent car. She hid herself well from Bubba. Problem was, it had multiple coats of different color paint, eventually topped by the original Silverstone Silver.Fast forward 10 years and I have a 69 coupe, with a lot of wierd Bubbatizing, and only one repaint. Go figure.

Thats the positive side, Bubba has also caused fires,brake failure, crashes, etc..... So before credit is given, How is his track record. Has he caused more to meet their grave or saved some????

Yeah" Bubba get's around. I worked on a 80, it's spare tire carrier was missing the fiber glass shell and spare (thank God)! and was held on by lamp cord wire! The exhaust was missing the hanger clamp behind the cat. and the back was held up with hose clamps! Then i found that someone hooked up a stereo system and ran a ground wire thru the inside all the way to the back of the frame, not realizing that it was rubbing on one of the half shafts!
