Does the differential crossmember have a curve to it? I notice that mine has a pronounced arch from side to side. It curves up in the middle where the diff. mounts to it. Is this normal? I haven't noticed in pictures of the crossmember when it is out of the car.
Should be straight. Here's how mine looks. Can't see the entire cross member, but looks straight. Maybe it was jacked up, or supported there for a length of time causing this.
Check some of the resto threads and you'll be able to see the entire frame.

I think you can see how straight it is compared to the frame cross member at this angle. I'd think it would take quite a bit of force to bend it since it's built as a box beam.
