Is there any type of adjustment to make the wiper door raise higher? My 68 works great up to the point where the wipers are activated. When the wipers move, they hit the door and lock up. If the door were able to raise another 1/2inch, I think the wipers would clear the door and work fine.
I'm not sure if vacuum would play a part in this. I couldn't find any of the leaks mentioned in other posts. Electrically everything is fine. Any help is appreciated!!
There's a limit switch that signals the wiper motor that the door is completly open and it's OK to start the wiper arms. It's mounted on the fire wall to the right of the distributor. Perhaps the 'stroke' needs to be adjusted, so the door is fully up when the switch signals.
UPC 1, Sheet D 4, in my 71 AIM.
Regards,
Alan

You didn't say if you have originals installed (or close to the same). If they are too high in profile, that could be a source of your interference.
If Alan's suggestion doesn't completely resolve your problem, you might try changing your wiper assemblies to something with a lower profile.
"If your door is flush to the hood and body this will probably not help".
However if it was out and replaced there is some adjustment available by loosening the racks 6 nuts. Two on each end and two at the vacuum can. The rack, {controls, linkage or whatever its called} can then be moved or adjusted for best fit.....
