Has anyone used this book? I am doing a frame off on a 1968 corvette and need a gluid for the differential and the steering box. Is this the best way to go or is there a better book out there?
Yep. One of the best early frame references. I've had the book for years but I'm not sure it will answer your questions on differentials and steering boxes.

Both are good books.
I have and have used the Chassis Restoration Guide advertised at Wilcox.
Check out some of your local Bookstores. Barnes and Nobles and Borders. They usually have a Great selection of books on Corvettes. If they don't have what your looking for they can order them for you.
Hi 76C,
The book you mention is very interesting but has no mechnical information in it.
I'd recommend the GM CHASIS SERVICE MANUAL for your 68, for guidance on the steering box and differential work.
Many of the vendors carry it and well worth every $.
Regards,
Alan

Im using that book to restore my chassis right now. The book is good for "general reference" only. It covers from 1953 to 1972. It does not give alot of specific information to your car, actually I dont know if 1968 is even mentioned at all. The photographs leave alot to be desired. I would try to find a book that is more specific to your year, or at least one that doesnt go all the way back to 1953, thats of no use to you, or me either. JMHO
Thanks all for the help and heads up. So far the best one sounds like How to Rebuild Corvette Rolling Chassis 1963-1982. Again thanks i would have been so mad if I bought a book that didn't even have the information i need.

Don't sell the GM Service Manuals short. There's a reason they cost so much.
