Are you saying someone that works for the governmeny would do something like that? Imagine that !!!! Make them aware youll be looking for the car at auction.

Yeah, not saying that won't happen, but it should work the same way as the abandoned cars at the pound. These cars and any seized property by state law must be listed in the newspaper and bid out at auction, so you should have an opportunity to get it. If somebody connected got the car under the table, that would be a criminal act and you would have a complaint. This route is your only option in my opinion.
