I'm replacing my positive battery cable with a length of welding cable (because I have it) as the present one shrunk.(?) My problem is the hole in the grommet is too small. It might just squeeze thru if I shave both the cable and the grommet (smaller/larger respectively). I don't want to damage it and then have a 2 inch hole in the battery box.
Anyone got any different ideas to make it fit? does someone make a grommet with a bigger hole in it for bigger cables?
