Picked up a $100 engine stand used at a hot rod meet for $20. Not bad shape some rust but worthy of a sandblast and paint. Just tickled pink. It's one of those tri-pod types with a plate and adjusting bolts.
My guess
• 3 Piece Caster Wheels - 2 stationary - 1 Swivel
• T-shape support and balance
• Sturdy Tubular Framing 1000lbs. capacity
• Engine will rotate 360 degrees
• Heavy duty

I use the a 3 wheel stand for storage of my old 350, when working on high dollar motor I use the 4 wheel type, if it is a big block then the 4 wheel type should be used. You can tip the 3 wheel ones over and they just don't seem safe or stable to me.
Yeppers esp with a rat motor. I was working on a 396 one day when a fellow tech tried to move the motor to pull a car in the bay I was using. You guessed it: It tipped over on him & he almost lost a foot.
