Default 1968 rock chip question

I have a 68 vette that I will have completed soon. I have read though that since the fenders weren't as flared as on later models they have a high chance for rock chips. When completed I will be using it as a daily driver for a month or two. What are people's experiences with this? Is it wise to use it for that or is it always going to be an occasional cruiser type vehicle? Is the rock chip complaint something that is common is what I'm trying to get to. Thank you for any info!

if you drive it, you will get rock chips...my 70 has plenty of rock chips between the door and rearwheel... If you are concerned get that clear 3M plastic to put all over your car.

Buy some of the 'invisible shield' stuff for those areas behind the wheels. It is peel-and-stick clear plastic with adhesive backing that is made to fit those areas. Check some of the aftermarket Corvette suppliers. It will protect against damage and peel off cleanly if you want.

Maybe operator error, but I could not keep that stuff affixed to my car. That area in front of the rear wheels is where the damage typically occurs.
