1975 Water Pump

Is it possible to rebuild the water pump on a 1975 l48? If so, where can I buy the parts?

I think Zip has them and I think they have a write up on the procedure in thier tech section

Thanks, but I did't see a kit for a 1975 at Zip. The kits look like they stop at 1970.

Hemmings Motor News has many vendors that rebuild pumps, send it off and know its done right.............good luck

That's a lot of work to save a little money, unless you are set on keeping the original water pump.

Yes I am since I am the original owner. My son and I are doing a restore of the car and if I can keep the original part I will do my best to restore it. But thanks for the replies.

If you can't find the parts, just buy a rebuilt pump (with no exchange required) and remove the pieces you need to rebuild yours. That would have to be less expensive than sending it off to be rebuilt by someone else.
