That's a lot of work to save a little money, unless you are set on keeping the original water pump.
Yes I am since I am the original owner. My son and I are doing a restore of the car and if I can keep the original part I will do my best to restore it. But thanks for the replies.
If you can't find the parts, just buy a rebuilt pump (with no exchange required) and remove the pieces you need to rebuild yours. That would have to be less expensive than sending it off to be rebuilt by someone else.
