On your white car, red lines would look great, and would contrast more than RWLs.
If you are trying to be 'year correct', then I agree with the other posts.
If you do go with red lines, you might also consider red pin stripes on the body.

Go RWL. IMO Redlines won't look correct.
Paint your car RED for some flash.
But actually, I like blue interior w white exterior on C3's.

White stripes would be my first choice, and they would be period correct if that is a concern.
Red lines would IMO be a very good choice also, and I simply would not care if they were period correct.
