Default Redlines Yes Or No

I have a white 72 with blue interior. I'm in the market for new tires and I'm thinking redline tires might give the car a better look. I know its not period correct but was wondering what you guys thought?

If it had a red or black interior, I would have said "yes". With blue interior, you should go with white thin-line tires or RWL tires, IMO.

I have to say I'd agree, RWL being my 1st choice. Of course, it's not my call, but I like to vote.

I'm not so sure on the red lines. I think I would go with the RWL also. It's your car though and you need to be happy with the way it looks - not make us happy.

No, Black.

If you really want them, you might as well do it.

I think raised white letters would make it look awesome! The redlines would look cool too though.

"To thine own self be true" or "Your car...your call"...which ever phrase you prefer.

I personally would go with RWLs...

Default I like them - anyone have "new" ones ?

I have redline Dunlops on my '69. I was having the treads shaved for racing and decided to add redines (cut in, very old school). They are now getting too old to trust - has anyone tried the redline BFG Redline Radials tires available thru Coker Tire ?

I'm probably prejudiced, but I prefer the RWL despite the fact that he redlines were the higher performance tire option. I've got RWLs on my 69 BB coupe and it looks great. In the final analysis, it's your car and this is just a matter of personal taste. Do what you like.

Red lines look good on anything especially a Vette...Nitto makes a low profile..I believe 17 inch red line tire

Definitely no.

I absolutely love redlines, love them. But not on a year car that didn't come with them originally... mixing incorrect eras just looks very wrong. It makes you look at it and say, "I like that car, but there's something wrong."

PS: why do so many people answer "do what you like?" He's ASKING for OPINIONS.
