Default 74 Rear Deck Grills

Does anyone know for sure which are factory correct, the painted rear deck grills or chrome/stainless rear deck grills? I believe the painted ones are correct, but I've seen a few that are chrome/stainless.

Thanx in advance.

I think all of them were painted and the chrome one's were aftermarket.

Since you mentioned what's under them, here's a picture of the typical blackout.

Want to sell those chrome/SS grilles? I may get funky in my old age.

My 75 has painted grilles, but there is no cut-out under them, should that area be body color or black?

Too bad they are fake. On my 74: Painted, with flat black under them painted on the body. Makes a "little lake", whenever I wash the vette.

I would also like to change out to chrome or ss. Anybody got a good cheap source?
