I think all of them were painted and the chrome one's were aftermarket.

My 75 has painted grilles, but there is no cut-out under them, should that area be body color or black?

Too bad they are fake. On my 74: Painted, with flat black under them painted on the body. Makes a "little lake", whenever I wash the vette.
I would also like to change out to chrome or ss. Anybody got a good cheap source?
