Yeah, that'll work. For some reason, whenever a guy uses one of those scoops, people assume there is a huffer under it.

If you're talking about the hood on the Black C3, it's not an L88 hood, it's a standard LT-1/BB hood.

Whomever did the black one did a GREAT JOB!!!
Your right, it is a Big Block/LT1 hood but I'm sure we all know what he meant.
Gee, with all the negativity, you would think this was the NCRS site & everyone here only has FACTORY STOCK parts on their car.

Disclaimer- nothing against the NCRS site, but they seem to prefer their cars the way came from the factory. At least they don't BASH anyone for an Idea.

I only speak for myself when I say it comes from several years of fixing up Bubba's "ideas".

if you do it, make it look right and go the right way, cut your hole in the hood and glass in on, I think shaker scoops ALWAYS look cheap and like someone just didnt want to take the time

I think it could look ok if done right

Yes the guy who would do it is like almost 80. He is super good with fiber glass. He even made he own car out of fiber glass the guy is also a corvette lover has 20+ corvette's in his back yard. He has C1-C3's. I will take some pictures next time we pass by his house.

I have yet to see a hood or hood scoop I like for a C3. I would love to find a ram air forward facing type. The only one like that I would even consider is the stinger hood minus the stinger part. Someone should experiment with different designs and come up with something, I would buy it.

It looks out of place. The Sharp flowing lines of a Chrome Bumper 'Vette, then this big honking pontiac snorkel. I mean, it's got style,, but with a Big Block 'Vette hood, do you really need it? Why not just glass the hood a bit higher, and try to preserve the lines?

IMHO this looks like azz. I had a 76 TA and the scoop door was sealed as this one looks.
