I was 17 and only had my license a few months when my neighbor took me for a ride in his brand new 1972 corvette, it took me 18 more years of badgering him to sell it to me and I still have that same car today.
My first Corvette was a 71, in 71. It's still in the basement. It's the only Corvette I've owned, driven or ridden in. The first time my wife to- be saw it she thought it was a Mustang.

Alan
My first car was my corvette I bought last summer. I have been doing a lot of work to it as i drive. I just with gas prices would go down again so its not such a hit on the wallet. This was I think the day after I bought it.
This is me in 1982 with my first car, a 1977 T/A 6.6 Trans Am, and my parents' '77 Corvette that they bought new. They never drove the Corvette, so I'd drive it on sunny days. My Trans Am had a 4-speed and was a lot faster, but the Corvette handled better. They still have the Corvette, and it has 19,000 miles on it. I wish I still had my Trans Am.
This is the only Corvette I've ever owned. I bought it in February '96.

I bought a '74 Nova new when I was 16 for $3000. Two years later I sold the Nova for $2800 & ordered the Vette. She has 72k on the clock now, still has all original paint & I'll never sell her.........
These pics are from the summer of '78 & now...............
My first car? 64 Nova SS with a whopping 194 6 cylinder engine complete with bucket seats, red and white stripes on the roof wth dark blue paint, PG and this great looking huge chrome shifter console.
My first vehicle was my grandfather’s old 49 chevy truck. The Nova was totaled, the truck. . . Well I hung on to it until two years ago.

My first car I bought with my own money was a '73 Ford Grand Torino Squire station wagon with the fake wood grain sides. What color was it? Why, snake vomit green, of course! I sold it before I actually got my license.
The first car I built and drove was my 327 powered '64 Chevelle.
My first Corvette was a hodge-podge of parts titled as a '90 Corvette. My father owns it now.
My first car was a '67 Ralley Sport Camaro I bought in '74. I was 16. When I turned 18, I bought a 72 LT Camaro in '76. When I graduated from college in '78, I ordered a brand new '79 L82 Vette.
Then:
Now:
I took better care of the car than I did of me.
