Probably spotted you on the street, followed you to the store and your tops were gone 30 seconds after you went in.

I worry about mine all of the time.

............i got me a shoplifter the other day with my '72 chevy pickup, he tried to beat me accross the street and i couldn't miss him. He stole some batteries for cooking meth. I've to have a new windshield put in tomorrow, i thought i had killed the crackhead ! Nothing i could do to avoid him, he got released from the hospital the same night, they served papers on him in the back of the ambulance. Now i'm out a windshield.............at least i wasn't in the vette,.... I may have been able to miss him in the vette ! !

The way I read the post is the shoplifter was running across the street and the poster just happened to be the truck he ran in front of.

Default Here's a Thought

I wonder if you could modify a trunk monkey to exit from behind the seats and handle the thief? "I gotta get me one of those!"

I have a fiberglass set, but the paint doesn't match and they really need some work. So I'm don't like having them on unless I absolutely need to.

Locks may be able to be quickly overcome but they are one more obstacle for a thief. i put them on my 72 and if all they do is slow them down, that helps.
