Did anyone notice that the OP has a serious fuel issue? You might want to get some, fast! That being said, the button activates the solar arrays.

Page #69 of the AIM clearly states thats the herbielever that activates the henway avoidence mode of controlled oversteer,and sometimes uncontrolled understeer, it should never be used on black ice tho because it causes spasm in the *IUD* circuit,,, Peace, Moosie

I forgot to turn it off when I parked the car, and next day, this is what I found!
Then I remembered I forgot to deactivate it, so I flipped the lever and *bingo*!
Whew! It had me freaking out for a second there!

Your console isn't orginal...they came with a sticker saying WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T PULL THIS LEVER !!!
My owner's manual lists it as the "Cloaking Device Actuator", or "CDA". Use it wisely.
