My AllState NJ agent sold me a policy for agreed value once I got the vehicle appraised. I drove it all over last summer, and almost a full 8 miles this summer ( Wiring).
I'm also paying approx $65/mo each month (I know lump sum is cheaper, but only by a $2/mo fee...not worth it).
I called State Farm they said no Agreed Value
I called AAA they said no because I will occasionally drive it to work or a friends house or the grocery store.
Haggerty and the rest say no because of the same reason as AAA.
Try Grundy. They definitely allow occasional drives to work.
Has anyone had any experience with J C Taylor, My 70 is about ready to go and I have spent 6 years putting it back together. Would like some insurance where I can use the car a little but not drive it a lot. Taylor has agreed value and states "car is used primarily for show, club ect". Originally wording when I first got the insurance on my 48 Ply was "solely". I checked with my agent for my regularly car and their policy is only a stated value and they want me to get an appraisal. Any experience with J C? thanks
I have had a claim with Hagerty and thats why I will always use them on my collector cars . There was no question by Hagerty on why I was where I was , if I was going to a car thing , just a claim number , then help in resolving my claim , which was a hit and run I didn't even see ! For my cracked paint on my door , no body damage , we settled for 2000 , which I thought was more than reasonable . People say " well , I never had a claim , so .....) , I DID have a claim that was handled professionally and resolved , easily . to my satisfaction. Thats why you have Insurance . I can't see why people don't use Hagerty , they support the hoppy , and stand by their customers .

Hagerty is the best. But getting agreed value from wherever is #1. My buddy lost a perfect show winning '63 Impala in a garage fire a few years ago. He'd been offered $32k for it before. But he had a regular policy with SF with no agreed value & they said $15k, take it or leave it.....
