Default 82 brakes

would like to convert my 82 from power brakes to manual brakes. whats needed to remove the booster and reinstall the master . any info would be appreciated. thanks guys.

You'll need to remove the booster and master cylinder assemlby. Replace the master cylinder with one from a manual brake 67-76 car. The nuts for mounting the master cylinder won't be there so you'll have to bolt this one in.

The brake switch lever is different, the clevis will have to be moved to the non power brake location on the pedal and I'm not sure if the 77-82 pedal has this location on there. I'll have to do some research and see what else I can find.

The firewall is different too!



You'll need the push rod and you can re-use the clevis.

It might be easier if you look for a non power brake pedal assembly. Finding used non power parts is really easy. I'm not positive but I do think the pedals will swap out. Maybe some yard would have a used master cylinder with the push rod clevis and clips and then look for a non power brake pedal.
