Define what you wish to do ?
the door is bolted to the hinges,
the hinges are bolted to the birdcage.
After you mark the current bolt locations,
Generally speaking you unbolt the door,
both top and bottom and remove the door.
then you remove the problem hinge, and that top one is mother to get to !

The upper hinge is almost broken, and i have a new (used) to replace with, its only to replace the upper hinge, but it seen like its no space to do this without to loose the lower hinge

technically you could unbolt the bolts in the door, then rip the dash out to get to the bolts holding the hinge and shims in place on the birdcage.
However doing that with the door inplace you will find extremly uncomfortable.
If you do not have power door locks or windows, remove the door.
use a Sharpy pen and circle the current location of all the bolts holding the door now.
then use those marks to reinstall the new hinge. the orginal locations will get you close alignment, you will have to tweak the door position for best gaps after. 69VETT

Hi CV,
I took a close look at my 71's door hinges.... I believe 69V is right.
There's just not enough room to get the hinge out of the pocket in the door with out sliding the door off both the bottom and top hinge. I think you should leave the bottom hinge bolted to the hinge pillar, and mark the position of the bolts very well before you take them out of the door as he also suggests.
Protect the front of the door edge and back of the front fender edge with tape. It's very easy to chip either the door or fender.
Regards,
Alan

Its been awhile since I pulled one. I think you can do it without removing the door panel.
I would remove the door with the lower hinge attached and leave the upper on the car.
With the door out of your way its easier to get the upper hinge off.

last year i changed the drivers side door hinge, luckily i had to remove the dash for other reasons so it made the job of changing hinges much easier.

i think it would be very hard to change otherwise. good luck
