I always thought the wagons had a dorky kind of charm,
Actually of all the "Family truckster" vettes this is the "best" I have seen if that help you guys like it ( or hate it ) even more....
I'm not afraid to say that that looks kind of neat. It needs a lot of TLC but it's one of the more unique wagons I've seen. It has a BB, flairs, tilt front, side pipes... not bad. Gaps need to be adjusted and a new interior...etc.
I usually like the wagons but the quality of this build looks poor. They should have tried to do a few mods well instead of doing a bunch of mods poorly.
Some of that work really is of the lowest quality. The first time I replaced a headliner in a VW, I did better than that guy did, but I pulled it out a month later and did it again because I couldn't stand the way it looked. I wouldn't want to say I was the guy that did the glove compartment on that car either. Kind of a shame really, based on the VIN, it is a real big block car.
If someone wanted a wagon and a different car, this would be a great place to start. There are a lot of things that would need to be worked a bit, but it's not TOO bad.
For 2K I would buy it. I think it's a great convertible project begging to be done. 30 minutes with an air body saw and it will look much better than it does now.
