Hi G,
What makes a 70, LT-! valuable is the fact that it's an LT-!.
There is a LONG list of parts that an LT-! has to have in order to be REAL...and be an LT-! now, not just when it was new.
$20,000 may be a good price depending on many things.
More info and pictures would help, and you'd get more opinions, too.
Regards,
Alan

"Non original trans, cam, headers"... makes it a non-original LT-1. With 'original' paint (almost 40 years old?), it would be worth about $15K, IMO.

Unless that engine is configured EXACTLY as an LT-1, it isn't an LT-1 anymore, now it's a modified small block Chevrolet engine.

Do the "original" cam & exhaust manifolds come with it? What else is missing? Post pics so you'll get a better evaluation.
Here's what a 70 LT-1 engine bay should look like and give you a visual reference to go by.
Early 70 LT-1's didn't have power steering among other unique features.
Have someone who knows Vettes check it out with you before you jump.

One question: Where is the radiator overflow tank on that LT-1 in the photos? Did the 1970 LT-1's not come with one? (just askin'....)
