Wow, that will make humble. That is pretty cool but it would take some
time to get use to no exhaust sounds, I would miss that sound.

The funniest statement I heard was, "He set record after record and never put out ONE ONCE of air pollution."

I know what the guy meant, but I thought burning tires was pretty heavy on air pollution. I know I saw a fair amount of thick smoke from the electric car.

I'm just nit-picking. It's neat, but I don't think I could own one. Besides, there's a plateau that can be easily hit and then you're at the end of the line. What do you do when you want to go into the 8's in the 1/4? (where my Chevelle will be)

Pretty incredible stuff They make all their torque immediately and have a significant edge right from the start line. Now if you could only make them sound like a V8

Impressive . I wonder about the future of electric vehicles , recharging a lot of them would put a strain on the electric grids , i'm thinking . Looks to be very efficent , though

I saw in a special awhile back that talked about a paint substance that you roll on the roof of your house that can turn every roof in America into an inexpensive electric producer.

All I know is that they have come a long way with these electric cars.

As to the sound, I've got sidepipes and love them but there is something sorta cool about being quick and silent.

I'll stick to loud American muscle myself but

That is really cool to see. The main drawback to electric cars right now is the battery technology. Very expensive and the range does not match that of the internal combustion engine. When those factors have been improved the days of gas will begin to darken.

Very impressive.I love the thought and engineering that went into the project. But I still need the sound of a healthy V-8.Especially drag racing. You need to be in that environment to appreciate it.Watching on TV and being track side, two different worlds.Track side with electric cars, might be kinda cool but I don't think too exciting,Just my 2pennies.

that was awesome I thank you for sharing this. However part of the fun at a drag race is the noise that vibrates off of your chest.

I wonder what time an electric vette would run???

Wonder how much he has invested in the car? Or what the Lithium batteries cost?

Getting the vette under 1900 lbs might be a bit tough.

Fact, not just a thought. A strain of such proportion, additional power plants, more coal and natural gas, or ....do I dare say it.... NUCLEAR POWER would be needed to support it. The greenies would love it!
Then, once we do away with gasoline burning cars, we 'll get rid of plastics, lubricants(petro based), cosmetics(don't tell my wife), and the numerous other things oil is made from. We'll be wind and solar based. Until a calm, cool day with no sun, then, fire up the power plants again.
I'm all for better, but for every action, there is a reaction....
Good for him! Yes, electric motors produce higher torque on start-up. Let's see what's in an electric motor....gee, copper windings, bearings needing lubricant, lots of machined, expensive parts that wear with use(like everything else).
Finding an alternative fuel when there is plenty under our feet just doesn't make sense to me. Call me old school.

Very impressive. In time battery weight wil be down to nothing and length of running time will be incredable.
