hello everyone,
My name is Christian...the one in the avitar pic. Dad and I are working on the '79 together, so he has me on here alot, reading everything...lol
I hope to build some stuff like all you guys and gals have...NICE STUFF!!!!!
I"m only 12 so I'm really looking forward to just driving one.. lol
Just wanted to say, since I'll be spending some time here too.
We're very glad that you are interested in cars...especially Corvettes. You can learn a lot about cars and how they work by spending some time helping your Dad. For most of us, the car is fun to drive...but much of the fun is working on it and repairing or refurbishing a classic car so that it looks good and works as well as it did when new. There is a lot of personal satisfaction that you can get from doing that.
Whenever you want to share what you are working on, or whenever you need to ask for advice, we hope you will 'post' on the Corvette Forum. We'd like to know how things are going with you and your project.
Hi Christian,
I'm REALLY glad you're interested in CORVETTES and visit this forum!
I'm an old man, so fellows like you are going to need to take over someday. READ ON!!!!
"A really BAD day playing with an old Corvette beats a GOOD day at school." ( I modified this saying a little for YOU).
Regards,
Alan
Hello, and I am happy to hear some young folks are so interested in our old Corvette! I sure could have used some help in your size when I was working on my engine compartment!! Whatever you do in life, remember to have fun doing it. Corvettes sure can help.

Welcome to the forum. It's great that you are your Dad are working on the car together and that you are interested in Corvettes. I just bought my '69 a little over a month ago - we can all learn from each other.
There have been many times when I've been working on my car and wanted to have arms as slim as mine were when I was 12. Now I'm 37 my arms don't fit into so many places easily. Has your dad asked you to remove the brake booster nuts yet?
Hi Chris. Welcome aboard. These times working with your dad are times you and he will cherish forever. I still enjoy when my son works with me , he started around your age and is now 27 and still helps me. Enjoy.
I was your age when my dad first got me wrenching on his '67 Jeepster Commando. 4 years later, that Jeep became my DD and by then I knew just about everything about it.
Keep at it. You really can't ask for a better car to cut your teeth on than a C3.
Christain, Welcome to the Corvette forum. You will build
some great memories with your dad while wrenching at such
a young age, and you couldn't have picked a better car or
web forum to be a part of, glad your a part of it now.
