Hi Y08,
S is right about wishing for a site.
Depending on the year, your car may have a sheet on the top of the fuel tank that lists the options that the car left St.Louis with.
I believe in later years 72+ one of the digits in the VIN denotes what engine the car was delivered with.
The trim tag on the driver's side hinge pillar shows what color the exterior and interior colors were originally.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
Is there a web site that people use to look up VINs to see what a car originally came with?
I looked at your profile, the only car it shows is an '08. For any Bowling Green car, the National Corvette Museum has reproduction Build Sheets (tank stickers) and Window Stickers available. Your '08 also has an Options Sticker attached somewhere (glove box or rear storage compartment or ?) that lists all the Regular Production Option Codes (RPO) on the car as an aid to the mechanic. For 1977-1981 St. Louis Corvettes a photo copy of the original dealer's Shipping Document is available from GM's Archives. This Shipping Document includes the RPO codes.
