My brother and I are looking for our old 63 Corvette Roadster. It was red with red interior as we recall and originally sold by Lou Awald Chevrolet in Kenmore NY. My brother gave it to me and I sold it to a gentleman in North Tonawanda NY in or about 1970.
VIN was 30867S120517
If you know where this car is or have it let me know at tvacc *at* lotusowners *dot* com.

I am very well known in the Lotus car circles and head up the Lotus of NY group. My website is in my email address. No funny business here, we just would like to know.
Hi TV,
Perhaps you might want to put an INFORMATION WANTED advertisement in the NCRS DRIVELINE. It's their bi-monthly newsletter that's full of classified ads. If you join ($35) you get a free ad every issue.
Good luck with your search.
Regards,
Alan
The guy that does my taxes drives a red on red convertible that I can try to match your vin to if in fact yours was an automatic. It might have made it's way to Syracuse.
I know that the Police can not provide any 'personal' information about vehicles on 'active' cars. But, if you give them that VIN, they may be willing to tell you if it is presently active in the N.Y. license system [or not]. That would be a start, anyway. Otherwise, advertising your interest in Corvette magazines might be the way to go. You could always contact NCRS and tell them your need. If they have any records of that vehicle, they might contact the owner for you and/or give you the last info they had on it.
Have you written to your state DMV where the car was last registered in your name? You can request a copy of all of your records pertaining to the car and it may contain a record of who you sold it to.
There should be a form on the state's or county's web site depending on who is responsible for automobile registrations and titles.
