Default 68 console

I'm looking at wireing my shift console and don't know what the two small red lights are for. They are just below the rear fiber optic lights and looks to be factory as the console is has a raised bose for the two lights, but I don't see anything in the wiring diagrams for them. Any one know? Thanks. oh and this is an 68 auto with air car.

Hi Manuel,
The info I looked at shows only the 3 light monitors, the crossed flags and the 2 mounting screws.
So....????
Is the panel surface smooth or grained?
Regards,
Alan

Hi M,
Well that would make it a 68 console plate.
So.... I don't know!?
Regards,
Alan

You made your last post while I was typing. So someone had put lights where the flags had been!?

Post a pic of what you've found. There are no red lights in the wiring harness. I'm wondering whether a PO changed the color of the bulbs. I have a hunch you are looking at heat/defrost and lighter illumination lamps, but it's only a hunch.

Aha! The flag emblem has two rivets holding it on. The flags came off, and a PO filled the holes with lights.

You can get the flags from the aftermarket providers.

This pair needs color touch up.
