Should be bright enough, and placed far enough away, probably safe from engine heat and vibration...

Sorry, but do you want the engine lighted while you are driving? Who'd see it??

Its a slow day.....

Gorgeous motor, BTW!!

just buy some small led's and mount them under the fenders... so you don't see them, but enough to get some light...

I have two of these (although not for your purpose) no wires, no modifications, low profile, hook/stick it to the underside of your hood when you get to the show and you'll be able to change the plugs at midnight with no moon... it's pretty bright and a little bigger than a CD.

I can not help you with your quest to illuminate your engine bay. However I would like to convey my appreciation for all the chrome.
That is just awesome, do you have more photos?

I used a set of LED's for my Harley tail light. They are pretty bright but add a resistor or rheostat and you can make it as dim as you want. It was about $20 for a strip of 24.

A strip or two hidden under that lip on your air breather may work well. I have seen a lot of them used on motorcycles and they look best when there hidden up under stuff and you just see the light shining on the chrome with out accually seeing the lights. A red "glow" would look killer with all that chrome.

Well....if you shine enough bright light on it, you won't be able to see the dirt!

Are those strip battery or wired operated? sound like something I might want to try.
