I am currently working on a 69 coupe frame off. As a side project I am also working on a complete restoration of a Honda Z50 mini-trail. I had one of these for my first bike so after almost a year of searching my father (forum name Bing 76), found one in excellent condition for me. I am restoring it to original just as the one wqas that I had as an 8 year old kid. It's amazing how something so little can cost so much to bring back to new condition (so far about $2500.00 est).
man todd that truck looks cool how it is! i think i would keep it the way it is. lots of personality in that 1, just make a modern drivetrain and interior an keep the shell the way it is. the surface rust is more of a aged petina. what kind of insulation u going with in the man cave? foam or the pink stuff?
I am using the pink stuff. I have 2x6 walls and am installing R-30 in most of the ceiling. The center of the trusses have a 3/4 inch plywood floor for access so I can only get 4 inch think stuff in that part of the ceiling.
I know there are folks that like the patina. I get to fixing one part and end up wanting the next part fixed. I do hope to restore the original color and lettering to it though. I have the motor built. It has a cam and a 4 bbl manifold as well as a split exhaust header and electronic gm ignition. I have a 5 speed out of a Chevy S-10 and a 12 bolt rear out of a 71 Chevelle. With luck I will be installing an S-10 independent front end witout too much lowering.
...my other hobby (it is winter after all and until the new garage is done with the lift, cold cement floors suck)...i have since wrapped the metal pole in wood and still need to add the baseboard and door trim. It started as a cement hole under my house and in less then a year (6 mnths of that year were spent with the '77 in the garage)...POOF a place to watch all the games and movies! -Neal

I have got about 2600.00 tied up in something the dealers said would not work.
Nice truck Neptune. I just picked this 87 up as a daily driver. I will be piddling with it as time and money come, but for now just a driver. It doesn't need much, but I do want to dress it up a little.

My mother screamed at daddy for spending around 325.00 new for it. Now my wife is PO'd ....women
